Problem

Think about all of the the mini shampoos, conditioners, lotions we’ve purchased when traveling. Now, imagine that number across the world population. It’s huge! Roughly 9 billion single-use plastic travel bottles and 6 billion silicone travel bottles will end up on beaches and in landfills in our lifetime – and that's in addition to what's there now.

Solution

Using the Cadence Capsule solves this problem in a few ways:

  • no longer having to purchase (and throw out) single-use travel sized bottles

  • purchasing bulk, large containers instead of many smaller ones reduces the amount of single use plastic

  • small pieces of plastic are more difficult for automated single stream recycling systems to process, so single large bottles have a much better chance of getting recycled
